Photos: 2008 Annual ACAAI Meeting in Seattle, Washington, November 6-11

The 2008 Annual Meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) in Seattle, Washington was very successful.

Click on the images above to see some of the interesting posters presented during the meeting, for example:

Ladybug allergy: time to start looking

Steroids leads to a successful pregnancy in a semen-allergic patient

Successful specific immunotherapy in a patient with horse allergy

Our poster The Utility of Google Trends to Structure Patient Related Education Initiatives was selected for a special ACAAI press release among more than 450 abstracts. The pilot study was based on a blog post published here in 2007: Recurrent Trends in Allergy-related Searches on Google.

As you can see, a blog can be used as an educational and research portfolio, serving as a springboard for projects and research ideas.
